Oiling : why abhyagam is so important?

Winters are here . The air is cold,dry and ruthless. Vata is aggravated making skin and even body dry. Flexibility and sweating also decrease with effect to decrease in physical activity. So what is the one thing you can do to give your body some tender love and care ? It is abhyagam , oiling with healing. Take a break relax take natural oils, warm them.

Now take a step back and listen to the body, heal the scars, massage yourself in a way where you are very comfortable. Any stiffness or pain . Massage with a little pressure. Take a hot towel wrap or hot shower to enhance the properties of the oil. 

Daily abhyagam is prescribed in vedic texts. If you include this is in your routine . Amazing things will start to happen .
